Got my neck in yesterday.
Nothing fancy, just a plain Jane quartersawn Maple / dark Indian Rosewood.
Total Vintage Construction, '59 back profile, 6115 SS frets, 12.5" straight radius, Clear Satin Nitro finish.
I mounted it on my old '97 Fender YJM Strat body, which has seen all sorts of pickups changes etc. over the years.
This is my least favorite body, it's the one that sounds great for me one day, and horrible the next - but it was my first ever guitar bought as a gift by my father (RIP dad!), so I can't ever sell it. I still have the original neck which I have on another Warmoth body...
Anyway, I've ordered some KTS Titanium saddles to brighten it up a bit, as the American Standard zinc saddles are a bit modern and muffled sounding.
I already replaced the zinc block with a Callaham steel trem block, and that made a first improvement IMO.
So together with the really nice new Warmoth neck, I think this will make it into a guitar I will play again...
