Putting weird things in coffee

No matter what you do with coffee, it still smells and tastes absolutely horrible.

I don't know how humans are able to consume it.

They did the TWIX soooo wrong. What your supposed to do is bite off both ends and then use it as a straw. Try it.

There's also www.thisiswhyyourefat.com

to you coffee haters, i would put money down that you have not had some really really good, high end coffee. Anybody who drinks 95% of what's on the mainstream market will think coffee is terrible, because it is. Just like most people with any decent taste won't drink Banker's Club Vodka or Budweiser. It's not that vodka, coffee, or beer suck. It's that the cheapest, easiest to make, and most readily available of each is what people have shoved down their throats by marketing campaigns and the limited accessibilty of small, private-stock companies.

that being said, if you don't drink coffee... even the good stuff kind of turns into a habit. and i'll end up drinking sub-par coffee when i don't have the good stuff. so it ends up breaking even. and you're probably better off not having one more addictive habit in your life. so forget i said anything.

Coffee beans smell wonderful!
Coffee breath on the other hand smells like crap!

I don't like hot drinks of any kind, so I'll only drink iced coffee.
I love a good iced coffee, but obviously, it's got to be sweetened properly. If there isn't enough sugar and cream, it tastes terrible to me.

I think it's kind of weird that so many people can take a glass of something so horribly bitter and add packets full of sugar to make it sweet enough to be drinkable. :dontknow:
Then there are those people that take it black. I don't know how anyone can stand it.

I gotta tell ya,  Espresso over ice cream is the cat's ass.

But I'm one of those coffee guys....

The cat's ass you say?
Doesn't sound like something I'd like to eat, but if you like it, more power to you.
:icon_jokercolor:

Hmm, that sounds pretty good, so long as the espresso is cold. I might have to try that.
What kind of ice cream works best? Is coffee ice cream with espresso overkill?

Btw, which kind of "ice cream" were you referring to? :icon_jokercolor:

:laughing11: :laughing3: :laughing7:

I was thinking of ordinary vanilla.  Yea, you should chill the espresso a bit - but not too much.  I like it when it melts the ice cream to create this yummy slurry of espresso creamy goodness.

I think espresso on 'no-no' is just too weird

the last time i had coffee was on a plane to new york bout 5 years ago. and no... it still tasted like a hookers a$$  :glasses9:

'On a plane' That'll be the reason it tasted like hookers ass, but how do you know?  :laughing7:
but i must admit too id much rather have tea or hot chocolate before coffee, and Orange squash before them!  :toothy10:
Or tap water,

these guys remind me of the "put weird stuff in a blender" guys. except that was more entertaining :icon_biggrin:

Ok, you got me curious, so I made a half-assed attempt to try it.
I did sort of a root beer float thing with a scoop of French Vanilla ice cream and some medium-strength coffee I brewed.
I'm sure an espresso would be quite different, but meh, it was kind of bland and boring. The ice cream tasted like ice cream, and the coffee just tasted like coffee.  :dontknow:

I've enjoyed coffee for a long time, regardless of its source, but you're absolutely right about the dramatic differences there can be. I'll never forget being Central America and having fresh-brewed coffee that had been locally grown and roasted. Comparing it to what most people drink here is like comparing night and day. Almost a different beverage altogether. Same with the bananas. A tree-ripened banana is a glorious thing, and something you just can't get here for the love of money. I like bananas no matter what, but I could live on those.

I'm kind of agreeing with Line6man.  Don't care for it hot (unless the weather is cold), but it's only as good as the stuff you put in it.  Same with a baked potato.  When someone says they like baked potatoes, I think they mean they like bacon, cheese, and sour cream.

Don't forget the chives!
There is nothing like a baked potato with sour cream and chives, next to a big piece of steak! :icon_biggrin:

But the funny thing is, I can't stand sour cream unless it's in sour cream and onion chip dip, or mixed in foods so you can't taste it.
I love it on baked potatoes, but it sickens me on anything else.  :dontknow: (See my "Taco Bell caulking gun squirts of sour cream when I specifically request NO sour cream" rant. :tard:)

But I do like baked potatoes with nothing on them. A bit bland and dry, but still good.

I just watched an episode of Las Vegas on TNT yesterday. There was a stand up comedian that had a bit called the Portland Dangler. It reminded me of this topic title. :icon_jokercolor:
