Hello there !

This is/will be the big brother of my purple 7/8 guitar that was recently finished ( https://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=31173.0 )

It has a chambered mahogany body with a flame maple top finished in matt transparent purple. Neck is made from roasted flame maple with an ebony fingerboard.

It will be equipped with a PJ pickup set from Sandberg (Black label series), Hipshot ultralite tuners, Hipshot bridge and Noll TCM 4 XM (B 2083) electronics

It is almost finished and is looking forward to be played in a metal band. I usually play in D standard but I think about going BEAD with this bass.

Unfortunately there were some problems with the thickness of the top/depth of the routing as you can see from the pictures but everything is fixed now and the potis fit perfectly.

Man, that headstock is gorgeous! I mean, the whole guitar looks excellent, but “Yowza!”  for the headstock! Control cavity looks great too, very clean for all that is going on in there, nicely done!

Hey, it is finished now.

Unfortunately it feels much heavier than my Sandberg VM which wonders me a lot since I really went for light parts. Our baby scale is in the basement atm but I will check the exact weight within the next few days. Feels like something between 4.5 and 5 Kg ... I hope I get used to it ;)

Best wishes,
Dan
