Precision '54 bass with balls

You might try Lo-Riders if you want higher string tension.

Been there/done that on the J-Bass.  Close but no cigar.  I'm working on what strings are right for the P-Bass' overall sound to my ear.  This is a newer neck, and has a brass nut.  I'm an ol' fart - been playing 40 years, have used a lot of different brands and types of strings on a lot of different basses, but don't even claim to know it all.  Fact is...the older one gets - the realization of how little one does know becomes more glaring.  Most things are evolving and/or changing in some manner.  What didn't work yesterday may work tomorrow.  The Sadowsky line of strings come highly rated.  I'll run through their varied line-up (it could likely take a year) and see how it goes.

Any premature results?

I'll know more after my experience with the 2nd set (to be fair), but so far I rate the Sadowsky Blue Nickels... :icon_thumright:

May try a couple sets of the Blue SS next - but the nickels seem to be balanced, with good life, tension, and tone  :guitaristgif:
