I meant to post this here and not the 'Primo Builds' thread were I originally posted it (apologies to the admins- feel free to delete my other post). It's probably not exotic enough to qualify as a 'primo build', but I like it.
The goal was to build a hot-rodded strat that had a vintage vibe (6 screw trem and single coil look), but could still hang with my guitars that have humbuckers and Floyd trems.
I used a super light Alder body in sonic blue gloss, flame maple neck (my photography skills don't do it justice) with dark Indian rosewood fretboard and mother of pearl inlays. The Duncan hot rails pickups are wired to a 3-way switch, with one volume and one tone control.
The hardward is all Gotoh black chrome, inlcluding the Gotoh 510 6-screw trem that really feels like a 2 point trem.
