Post your youtube videos here!

His wife called me yesterday and asked me if I could come down to Oslo to play in his funeral.
I said yes. And now, I discovered that it was hard to play while standing! I'm used to be sitting on a chair while I play...
I havent played in front of people for almost two years, so I'm a bit nerveous..

Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend Andreas, very nice dedication to him... :sad1:

I was at my mom's place over Christmas and managed to convince her to do a video of her playing the Flatt and Scruggs tune "Cripple Creek".

I played in his funeral yesterday. I was nerveous as hell, but according to the feedback people gave me after the seremony, I did great.
Relieved!

Havent played for a while now, so I figured I'd try something new. Practised this one for a couple of hours and made a video out of it.

I'm like balls on sweeping and shredding, so I got creative!

That's a nice piece of work, Andreas! I like how you pull off the harmonics in midstream as if they were fretted - shows a great deal of deliberation and control. Plus, it's all very accurate, and the timing/attack is great. Shows a lot of confidence. The recording is good... all in all, a great job! Now, go make millions of dollars and buy yourself an ice cream maker <grin>

This was a few years ago. First time in 10 years I got to participate in a musical event.
Venue was the 30th anniversary celebration event for a motorcycle club spanning 21 European countries. :eek:ccasion14:
A friend of mine arranged the entertainment and came up with a "Night of the proms" theme. :sign13:
The band was a pro one, playing for over 25 years, a pop music choir for the background,  :glasses9:
and a few motorcycle club members thrown in for familiarity. (The brass band, a female singer, acoustic guitarist and myself.)

The full event can be seen by the following playlist :

Have fun. :icon_thumright:

Excellent work, as usual. Must be very satisfying for you. I don't know if anyone's mentioned it before, but you have a superb vibrato technique.

Thanks Cagey!
The one in the end is Bed Of Roses. I played it at my final examn in guitar in college when I studied music.
The mentor/judge or whatever you call it said that he'd never had gotten goosebumps from a Bon Jovi song until the very day of my guitar examn. And that was an awesome thing to hear!

One of my previous guitar teachers once told me that my vibrato sounded like an ultra speed vibrator. I've worked on developing it ever since  :icon_biggrin:

That had to make your heart pound! Given half a chance, any ass hole can impress the general public (see Death From Above 1979), but to get positive recognition from your mentors, teachers and peers is tough to do because they know enough to be legitimately critical.

Your vibrato technique is great for several reasons. It's always modulated properly, so it doesn't clash with anything else. Also, it shows up on any note where appropriate, which is unusual. Many players (myself included) have a favored finger for it, which limits the effect's appearance. Finally, it only shows up when needed, rather than when it's expected, so it's not overbearing or boring.

Actually, I meant to say something about it before, because there are better examples of it in your work than the Bon Jovi stuff. But, there it is.
