DBU:  I like your version of Nutshell, but ya should've taken a solo or two man!   :toothy10:

We actually used that song to open our first set, don't want to blow their hair back that early on!!  :laughing7:

wow, that's some great stuff right there!

A music video of my old band. The song is about being sunburned... Just wait for the solo, filmed on a cliff!

Recorded with my Candy Tangerine strat thru Line6 TonePort UX2 and Gear Box. I know it's a bit sloppy, especialy on the tapped harmonics part at the end, but hey, I learned the song 15 min. before recording it.

This is a song I wrote with my old band. Got no vocals, because I recorded it in my bedroom just to have the song on my computer.

This is my old band "Svamp". Lyrics is norwegian, and the song is about a guy that went to the lottery and lost all his money.. He was thrown out of his apartment with his cat.

Love the first video, Sunburn, Drugs and Rock & Roll  :headbang1: :icon_jokercolor: :laughing7:
But we need subtitles.  :toothy11:

This is directly translated, but It doesn't make much sense in english

NOOOOOOOO!

Stay inside, save your skin
Don't go out, get burned to death
Waking me up, keeps me awake at night
There's no doubt, the sun is bad

I have to go out, buy some ice
When you're hungry, you have to eat
Where is my sunblock, we'll take what we have - VASELIN

[Chorus]
Under a hole in the ozon layer
SUNBURN
There is an aryan epidemy
SUUUUUUUUUNBURNED

The poles is melting
The ocean is boiling
We're out of juice!!
Sweating and hallusinating
A horrible and cheap dope

Riding my bike down to the beach
We're meeting hundred of thousands of red guys
They're out of their ponds
And they'll be fried black

[Chorus]
Under a hole in the ozon layer
SUNBURN
There is an aryan epidemy
SUUUUUUUUUNBURNED

[GUITARSOLO ON THE CLIFFS AT THE BEACH, YEAH!!]

[Chorus]
Under a hole in the ozon layer
SUNBURN
There is an aryan epidemy
SUUUUUUUUUNBURNED

SUNBURNEEEEEEEEEEEEED!

this one isn't great soundwise and has some random shite in the middle, but the actual film quality was great, shows off my black korina tele really well i think. and if you haven't seen it, the vid in my signature features my other W tele.  :icon_thumright:

I like your sound, rightintheface. Looks like that was a great show and yall played really well and had a lot of different types of songs to play... loved that funky stuff. I think a reincarnation of the riff from See You in Hell just popped up in a song my band's writing now. We'll be sure not to play it note for note and it'll all be good, right?  :icon_thumright:

It's nice to see guitars in action. I've got a couple vidoes of my band's first gigs but they're definately not worth posting. We'll probably play something a little bigger (still highschool level though, I'm afraid) in a few months and maybe post that if it goes well.

hey thanks dude! that was a great show, it was actually our EP launch at a local pub. i went around the local uni handing out fliers and the place hit capacity at 10pm  :tard: it's the first time i've ever seen a line up for the place. shows what a little promotion can do!

yeah i love mixing in the funk with rock.. if you check out our track Young And Dumb on our myspace, thats pretty funky as well.  in fact i love mixing all manner of shite. we just finished writing a song that is half reggae, half grunge, with a metal/hardcore breakdown in the middle. AND it has a trumpet solo  :tard:

Just some noodling I did a little over a year ago to show some of the sounds and pickup combos I have.

Yeah sometimes I wish I played in a trio that could pull off more than alt covers.

It's all good though. We're working on an album now and it'll have some good stuff on it and ...someday... I'll post a video of my own band.  :eek:ccasion14:

Very cool tone.  :headbang:
JCM800/900?

thanks  - actually it's a Fender Cyber Deluxe on the Dyna-Touch amp setting - - which is based on the 1999 Stage 100, which is a solid state amp. The Cyber Deluxe has a direct out and that's just straight into the soundcard of my computer. It's actually not my favorite "amp" on that amp, but at the time it was the only one I could get to sound cool to me with the pickup I had in the bridge position (duncan custom). I generally use the "british" amp settings or the "modern" - the Dyna-touch kind of sounds like an AM radio next to those. It's OK though for some things. I've used it a few times for recordings.

This clip is a "live" clip from my final examn in guitar when I studied music. Only thing is that it has no vocals (the singer was late), so we I started wrong on an interlude in the song, but we caught it up real fast. This is one of three songs I played. Nothing really going on before the solo at 3:50, I think. The other two was Bon Jovi - Bed of Roses, and Masterplan - Heroes.
I got an A+ and my mentor said he'd never gotten goosebumps (the positive ones) from a bon jovi song before...

This is the bon jovi cover I did at my final examn.. The singer came right before we started playing, so he didn't warm up properly. That's why he didn't reach the high tones.

Gimme some feedback and tell me what you think. I've played for four years when these were recorded.

I've also planned on building a Richie Sambora Strat when I can afford one after my two upcoming builds!
