Gives a whole new meaning to 'put that in your pipe and smoke it' doesn't it?

...and a new meaning to the phrase "You guys sound like sh*t!"  :confused4:

I did read on, the schematic, circuit etc. went right over my head.  :icon_scratch:

I'd like to see your assessment after the sub woofers are built. Maybe just place the vocals  on these pipes and leave the rest to other P.A.?  :dontknow:

After reading your other thread I read this too. The speakers design is interesting, I'm curious if you have added the subs Linkwitz is suggesting with Pluto's.

I have heard all the Duvel line and the Castle Harlech S2 speakers which are not the same but there are omni directional. I agree about a huge soundstage, it's very impressive to listen to omni's. I liked em all with vocals and jazz and but no so much with rock or classical with lot's of instruments. Especially the Duvels were missing guts when playing rock. The Castles on the other side were one of the warmest sounding speakers I have ever heard, a VTL intergraded that was driving them had something to do with it. Very pleasing sound without loosing detail but when complex heavy rock or classical was playing the result was somehow confusing and not so focused as traditional speakers.

Interesting!  I didn't end up doing the subs - at least not yet.  But I will say that the Plutos kick ass on rock music.  Playing Van Halen's First album (especially the first song) they just sound amazing.
