Moved this from the August submission thread as there's no need for a rant there...

This is just a reminder for potential Guitar of the Month entrants: please read the details in the first post in the submission thread, if not the actual GOTM rules, before submitting.

Particularly:
1. What are the entry requirements? August's contest is "Owner/non-professionally Finished" instruments only. This means that the paint/lacquer/oil/goat's cheese or whatever else that forms the primary finish of the instrument must have been applied by the owner - or their non-professional family member/friend etc and NOT Warmoth/"My Luthier"/Mom & Pop's auto body shop etc. Also, please note that GOM reserves the right to exercise some common sense regarding this, for example: if your treasured instrument has a Warmoth finished body then it is professionally finished even if you lacquered/oiled/burnished the neck yourself. Next month's contest will probably be for Warmoth/pro-finished instruments but it might be something else - maybe double-necks only, so please check!

2. Submissions should include two images no greater than 1024x768 pixels as attachments to a plain text email.

3. Your unOfficialWarmoth Forum user name must be included in the body of the email.

This particular instance of GOM doesn't mind resizing the odd picture or sending the odd email, after all not everybody is a technical whizz and not everyone has English as their first language, but the requirements are not unreasonable so please ask if anything is not clear.
