Please oh please can inlays be installed on a scalloped fingerboard?

I really dig the scalloped fingerboard. Comfy, more control, and of course let's not forget shaving off just that little bit extra weight which can make a difference.

But I get lost sometimes, especially in low lighting, and especially with 24 frets!..coz no inlays!

Is it at all possible to have inlays installed on a scalloped board? Custom option?

Could I at the very least have an inlay installed at the 12th fret?

If not, does anybody know of someone who could do a retrofit reliably?

They are installed prior to scalloping, no way around this.

Can’t change the inlay on a showcase neck.

Best option, order the neck from scratch with your choices selected for inlay and scalloping.

The Warmoth infopage on scalloping says this:

"Inlay on scalloped necks is black or cream dots only. We can not combine scalloping with a custom inlay."

I guess, like with every other inlay, 12th fret only would possible as off-menu option. But that still would be just (two) dots then.

Then you have chosen something that doesn't allow scalloping.

You can find the Infopage here:

EDIT:
Could it be 24 fret extension? I think it's possible to have scalloping up to the 22 fret with 24 fret extension but it seems to be off-menu (possibly to avoid returns, cos people don't read?)

You know, I haven't checked in in awhile.

A couple of years ago I got a Warhead neck with 24 frets scalloped (the last 2 were not scalloped probably due to the fragility of the thin wood).

I will play with the builder some more. Thanks for your help.
