Planning a non-Warmoth build chock full of Paul Gilbert goodness

It’s pretty orange peel-y but hopefully after a long cure I will be able to sand that out

Very cool build - love it !
You don't have to wait long for curing with the 2K, 3 days is good to sand. If you haven't tried it yet I highly recommend Eagle Abrasives Super Assilex. No need for wet sanding with it, which I hate doing on a guitar. If you have to use a heavier grit to get the orange peel out you can lay down another can after sanding.

I will look into the Eagle Abrasives. It probably will need another coat if I want to “bury” the vinyl. I am going to wait to touch it again until the bridge tuners and neck screws get in, they are on the slow boat from Jakarta.

I had a tad of orange peel from spraying and used a magic eraser sponge with Maguires ultimate compound to gently even things out. Worked great.
Previously I’ve tried fast cut compound to limited success, usually I get very shiny orange peel. I am going to try a slightly more abrasive disc on the polisher with some fast cut compound on the back to see if that can save me some sanding.
