Carbon fiber similar to the Modulus Graphite necks would most likely have a rather sterile sound, but probably very even with very good sustain.  When I say even, that would also mean the very high frequencies that normally don't get much amplitude.

I would guess that the carbon fiber bodies would end up in the same tonal vicinity as the aluminum ones - your cords and pickups and especially speakers would have a larger part of the equation, is all. Speakers made out of paper aren't really rapid response, because they don't need to be to amplify signals coming from soft, squishy wood guitars. Tone is largely subtractive, and if those people who are looking for "enhanced treble" really got their wish, they'd be deaf in a week. Ever wonder why drummers have all their cymbals facing away from them? :evil4:

Because they'd be rather difficult to hit if they were positioned the other direction.
