Pine is really light, check the weight of these bodies http://www.pineguitarbodies.com/pineguitarbodies_website_004.htm
A good alternative for those who have back problems!

You are not paying attention  :icon_jokercolor: Tonar just finished a pine strat a couple of days ago..
I have a pine body waiting to be finished... actually I had it for 2 or 3 years now... I really need to start working on that  :icon_biggrin:

I have 3 pinecaster Teles, 2 of them the 51's are very heavy but sound the best, here some pics

Totally out in left field here, but I'd rather try a carbon fiber tele body.

Shhh ... or they will hear you!

Since Gibson is the official guitar of the Tea Party, I would also like an SG completely made out of Tea Bags!!

You will win "Guitar of the Year with any of those"

I'd like to have one of these...

I made a tele out of piece of white pine that I hand picked out of a pile. It is very light. It's also very acoustic. It's a great sounding guitar but I think the harder woods sound a bit better. It also dings super easy. It's almost like papier mache.

Carbon fiber sounds like a great idea. Now I need to search it to see if it's been done.

.... and, as far as solid bodies go it seems they are only "wrapped" with it.

This is cool though. http://www.cycfi.com/home/gallery-2/
