Pickguards

I've been wanting a pickguard for a Warmoth Jaguar, but I want a clear pickguard.  I know that Warmoth cuts their pickguards differently, but will a standard Jag pickguard from someone like WD music fit?  Fit just means that it will go onto the body with no gaps and overhangs and will otherwise look fairly normal.  Would the control plates be in awkward positions with an aftermarket pickguard?
