It seems the gallery has been gutted by Photobucket limits and users not keeping up with their accounts. Very sad.

Photobucket wants too much $$ to maintain them, and I don't have the time to go back 15 years to re-link posts to another host, that is, if I were to have started using another host and loaded all of those same pics to new host.

Too costly, too labor intensive.

It ain't just here. The interweb is now rife with broken image links thanks to Photobucket. Their attempt to monetize has instead become nothing but the source of much ill-will towards them. I guess they should have thought that transition through a little better. Oops.


There is always the guitar and bass gallery on the warmoth.com website. Tons of images there.

There are browser plugins such as Photobucket Embedded Image Fix, that will allow you to see them. At least for now.

Yes it is a shame what Photobucket did to us. I posted a book worth of DIY finishing pictures over the years on this wonderful forum and they wiped out that entire history, such a shame. I figured when I died at least I would leave behind photographic evidence that I could lacquer a guitar.  :doh:

I have started using https://imgur.com/ and it is working pretty well for me and I am turning more and more to Instagram.

You could try putting ?jpg at the end, but on another forum I ended up using google photos, getting the link pasting it into

then using the link created. That does seem to work, but is very long winded to use.

All you need to do is get the direct link for your photo, paste it in the post highlight it and click the Image Icon that looks like a little camera.

But then I've been typing [ img ] copy+paste the pic then typing Then [ / img ] for so long now...

In Chrome if you go to Clear Browsing Data and then select Cached images and files to clear then restart Chrome you should be able to see the icon then. There were some changes to the forum software a couple of days back. I needed to do this myself on Chrome.

Partially repaired by clearing cached images, I can now see the missing buttons, but still no good on showing the image.
