I have a Boss ME-20 Multi Effects pedal and a Boss RC-20XL Loop Station.  They're both fun, but I haven't gotten around to really getting good at using the Loop Station yet.  I mostly just practice my normal guitar stuff.  I should play with it more, it does cool things.

That's exactly the two major pedals that I use now.  I have a Fender Cybertwin amp, which curbs my need for too many pedals.  The RC-20XL Loop Station is connected to my amp and my drum machine, so anything I like during a practice can be captured real quick, then a solo can easily get dubbed over with the Looper or the 8 Track recorder.  The hardest part about the Looper is getting the timing right, so the transiton doesn't sound broken.  If you tap the tempo button, the unit will quantize the loop, and it will make a nice clean tranistion, but your timing is still critical. I am still messing with mine, and have only gotten the timing perfect a few times with the quantize function.  I wish Fender had made the digital effects more seperately controlled with a digital pedal selector, instead of a 4 mode switch on the Cybertwin.  It's the most powerfull effects processor I have ever used and sounds great, but it's just hard to find what you are looking for, and gain access to all your presets without using a free hand.

I like Fulltone, and I'm wanting a Lovepedal eternity.

Trying to pick a delay, liking the idea of the Seymour Duncan Deja Vu

electro harmonix is my favorite :headbang:

Me too.  I just sold my Boss GT10...I grew tired of all the programming BS...also sounded to synthetic.  I have a Big Muff (no comments please), Holy grail reverb, and a Memory Man with Hazari on order.  I also have an MXR (my next favorite) Zakk Wylde OD.  I mostly use the amps tubes for OD but will use either the Muff or Wylde OD for that extra punch when playing metal or a screaming solo.  I wish they made a good tuner... :help:

I voted "other."  My effects rig is a 15 foot guitar cable, amp reverb, and the channel switch on my Yamaha T100C combo.  Although it's a really LONG reverb tank in there...

Minimalism gets the job done for me.  Loudly.

I have a Big Muff

Hur hur hur...

But seriously, since getting the Guitar Rig 4 software I have completely re-evaluated this pedal. The GT8 model sounded horrible, an absolutely useless, awful sound; if GR4 is closer to the real thing I don't know, but at least it sounds good! Very interested in trying out the real thing in the future.

I voted Other. I still have more Boss pedals than all others, but I've recently been adding some "boutique" pedals that I really like and are generally better than Boss quality. There are exceptions: some Boss pedals are as good or better than almost any; like their tuners ( I use a TU-3), and some of their older effects like choruses (I have a CE-2 and a DC-2 - which is on my board, and recently sold a DC-3, which is a fantastic pedal but was a bit redundant for me with the DC-2), flangers, phasers, and older tremolos (I have a PN-2 stereo trem on my board).

Non-Boss new pedals I've bought lately include a CMATMODS Deeelay, Catalinbread WIIO (a Hiwatt stack emulation in a box) and a Subdecay Super Nova Drive. These are great pedals, and the three companies are now favorites as well. I've been thinking about adding a reverb - and top choices there seem to be the Neunaber Technologies' Wet Reverb, Malekko Spring Chicken (recently discontinued), and the Wampler Faux Spring Reverb.

Here is my pedalboard in it's present form:

other? all of the above?  There are too many companies making great stuff to pick one.  Plus, who wants their board to look like the guitar center BOSS display? :tard:

Things I would not want to part with:

Barber Tone Press - what compressor?  super transparent sound, blendable signals, I have it on most(all) of the time.
Boss Tuner pedal - It's a tuner pedal, duh.
Fulltone OCD - A very high gain range, but reacts nicely to guitar volume changes
Line6 DL4 - can't find anything close to this pedal for doing live sampling. reverse, 2x, 1/2x, layers, on-press play, continuous loop

I am not much of a pedal freak

I have owned a played with a few, but I really just use 2,  a wah and a tube driver

however I really respect Boss pedals, they sound good and last

I have seen a lot of units come and go in others rigs, yes I mess with buddies rigs and ask questions a lot. Seems Boss stuff is well made

that is my big observation, my other observation is boutique stuff seems to sound the best but has pricetags that reflect lotto winnings

boss pedal are a great starting point. many classic pedals are coppied by boss but you'd never here that. a boss overdrive, either a od-3 or sd-1 are basically tube screamers. the od-3 has a different bass cut capacitor in the feedback loop giving it more bass. the sd-1 has about double the gain (different drive pot) and asymetrical clipping. both are popular mods to the tube screamers and can be found in a number of botique pedals, i prefer the od-3 of the two. also they have pedals that are better than the any vintage pedal. the blues driver is about the best stock pedal i can think of. not for everyone i guess but i haven't used another pedal under $200 that compares. and the ds-1 is a classic in it's own right. check out robert keely pedals. he primarily starts with boss pedals and mods them to botique status. mostly because you cant scratch build pedals at low volume for the cost of a boss, and he offers mods to your existing pedals making it cheaper on your end.

I used to buy a lot of pedals, but Line 6 puts so many models in one pedal for the $ it's insane. But for single analog stuff, EH still rocks.

im voting for no effects pedals although ive got a fender g deck to re create tones and just save them!

I own several Danelectro pedals. While I haven't used any of them in quite some time, they've quite the spectrum to offer.

Too bad the vote can't be changed, I've moved away from my GT-8 since I voted here. My favourite pedal by far right now is the Subdecay Liquid Sunshine.

Just to give this an update, my pedal board got rid of the EVH wah wah and gained a Wampler Pinaccle II. So, from right to left, Wampler Pinaccle II, MXR EVH Phaser, MXR Carbon Copy.

Analog Man Bi-Chorus  :icon_thumright:

Is that  a shimmery chorus or a thick goopy swirly chorus? The latter seems to be easy to find. The former not so much.

Currently I'm running:

Moollon wah > T-Rex Tonebug OD > Moollon OD :icon_biggrin: > MXR Super Comp >

home made A/B/Y box  > Hall of fame Reverb > fender ltd bassman 59 reissue
                                    > egnater renegade

I'm very happy with the Xotic pedals I've got so far, a BB Preamp and a EP Booster. Awesome stuff, they really let the actual guitar signal pass through, just with some little more... Grit, I guess. Well, not the EP. That one's totally transparent. If you want it to. I use it on the "magic" setting though, the "tone-improving" setting!  :icon_thumright:
