I have been looking around for a new amp, and the Peavey Vypyr series modeling amps caught my eye.  The Vypyr Tube 120 is the one that really caught my attention.

It looks like a pretty interesting amp with plenty of options.  Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone has tried one, or has any sort of opinion on them?

oh goodness. I had a chance to try one of those at a guitar center about two weeks ago. well, at least the 15W 8" speaker combo. that thing sounded HUGE. I especially liked the JSX model: very thick and heavy. I definitely give it two thumbs up, it sounded really good.

Okay, well, I was just at Guitar Center, trying out the 60 watt tube Vypyr (the cord wouldn't reach the 120...).  That amp was amazing!  I would've bought it....but my Warmoth is needing the funds...

I can't believe the specs on those amps for that price. And the 60 W and 120 W use a power tube section... nice.

Oh, save your money and get the 60 W one. Pretty much no one needs 120 W. With the savings, you could nearly get one of their floor controllers as well.
