Peavey Grind finish Question

I know this is a warmoth site(forgive me!) but my question is about the Peavey Grind that I just purchased that seems to have little to no finish at all. Could anyone suggest something easy to use that would give it a little sheen? i was looking at miniwax wipe on Poly or would an oil be better? This is my only bass so I would prefer a finish that didn't require a long time to dry. Thanks
