Pearl or Alpine?

ok guyz, my neck has arrived last week. here it is (sorry for the stock photo but i dont have a proper camera )

q-sawn maple, jet black ebony fb, MOP dots, satin finish its awesome  :icon_thumright:

actually i was considering to put it on my strat but now i've decided to build a complete warmoth. now i cannot decide on the body color. Should i choose alpine white or pearl white?

the bodies i am considering are:

and ps4183

what do you suggest?

Go with what you like.  Did you have anything in mind for the completed look - pups, pickguard etc..?

yeah pickguard will be white pearloid as seen in the pictures, pickups white and hardware chrome. i first wanted white pearl and call the guitar PEARLY =) but i am little bit afraid it may look way to pimpy or worse: it may be more yellowish than i wanted and it may look bad with white pickups and parts. unfortunately i have never seen a pearl white guitar with my own eyes...

Sure, you've seen pearl white before. Look at any white Toyota automobile from the past 5 years or so. That is a pearl.

I have a feeling though, from what you said above, that you're going to want the Alpine white. The AW is like the pure driven snow. Really really white....like Sammy Hagar's teeth. The pearl white won't be as striking white like the AW and it will have a metallic type flake in it. Very fine flaking. Again, from your post above it doesn't sound like you want pearl white.

hehe of course i have seen pearl white, i just didnt see it on a guitar (or i just didnt notice it back then) i've checked amazon and ebay for pearl white musical instruments but photos didn't help a lot. i've also noticed that all pearl white instruments i've checked had black hardware  :icon_scratch: made me think again. i should better pay a visit to guitar shops they may have one.

I got Alpine White on my soloist and it looks great. I would stick with AW if your goin white pickups. pearl to me seems much less pure white and more yellowy

this looks like it is gonna be a classy build. I love white guitars

I'd go for Alpine. If you're going with chrome hardware, might as well keep it bright n' shiny all over!

Tough choice, go with your gut. They both look good. I would take alpine, I guess. Pearl paint + pearl pickguard + pearl dots ->->-> oysters better watch out!
