And you'd better play with a strat and be sure you don't hit the vol knob with your hand, because in the way you plan, if you do, then you'll hit all the three knobs  :laughing7:

(I'm saying because everytime I get a strat I hit a lot the vol knob...  :sad1

About gold hardware, here is my warmoth strat, not too far looking from your beautifull one.
(here is the photoshop sketch, i'm looking for the real pics but my harddrive is a mess...)

and a blurry incomplete real pic.

The hardware is not THAT much taking the eye fo the woods, which are so incredible... yours are amazing, so it should do the trick.

About electronic, got a clapton strat with tbx and boost, and frankly the lutherie is great (great neck)  but I prefer simple electronics. (I'm no professionnal and nethertheless lucky enough to have different guitars for different sounds.). But hey it's your guitar, drill the holes you like !!!
