While I love the feel of it, I have to admit that it is not my favorite of all nekkid exoctic neck wood...I have one indian rw neck that feels like nothing else..smooth and woody... almost a bit powdery... *yeah weird, I do not now how else to describe)

I have tried probably 80% of exotic neck woods and hope for a macassar ebony wood next too!! :)

I'm also a member of the pau ferro-club!

I would love to see more pics of that guitar.

Not if it means the Crimson guy has to slow down to take pictures! :laughing7:

well... recent events arent really funny. Its come to the point where I just want to scream (sometimes I feel like screaheaheaminnnngggggg!!!! deep purple). the list of mistakes, errors and stuff that just didn't 'go as planned' goes on and on, and I can't see it coming to an end in the forseable future.

just to point out the last 2 mistakes (and please, don't comment, just read, and post pics of your pau ferro, this is just so you guys will know) is that the inlay on the headstock is crooked (the pearl wasn't cut nicely, and the routed cavity was filled with dust, it's just not nice) and aparantly, 2 years ago when the bodies were routed, the routerbit tore out some chunks, and he head to reglue it. only now its visible, because of the finish! the binding itself isn't tidy or tight, its sloppy. to counterbalance that, I suggested to wrap the bodies with a sheet of veneer of the material of the body (padouk will get a padouk veneer, purpleheart will get purpleheart) and the top and backrims will get a new flamed MAPLE binding. cause its now flamed ash, not maple. to make things worst, the ash 'developed' some mineralstreaks in its pristine white face, after the first layers or so of oil.

so... in short: this sucks. but the pau ferro looks nice.

Just be glad you are talented enough to take on a project like that. For me, I had almost everything done by warmoth but it still took me 2 months and many hours to just put it together. No matter how much you plan something out in your head you can never think of everything. I think that the only way to do anything is to start it and fix each problem as you come to it. Good Luck.
