Hi folks!

Yesterday I picked up two pretty boxes with goodies! I placed the order just one month ago and they already arrived in Sweden, now that's fast! The parts are for my upcoming project of a vintage style strat with some modern features. The build is going to take some time to finish since I haven't bought all the items for it yet and I'm still waiting for my Soloist project to get finished in the paintshop I handed it in to 3 months ago. But one can't have too many guitarprojects right!? :blob7:

Apart from these items I have also bought a 1998 used bridge from a USA 62' RI Strat, 2003 electronics also from a 62' RI Strat. I have everything I need for the finish which is going to be in olympic white with a nitrocellulose clearcoat. Going to do the finish myself for the first time. I still need some of the hardware and everything required to make the nut. The pickups are going to be the Bareknuckle Pat Pend Strat Series. And a nitrate celluloid pickguard that will age like the vintage strat ones.

Specs of the Warmoth pars:

1 piece alder body, weight is 4 lb 4 oz. Amazing body!

Neck:
Total vintage construction.
Maple with a dark indian rosewood fretboard.
Fatback contour.
Compound radius.
Stainless steal 6100 frets.
Clear satin nitro finish.
Cream facedot inlays.
Schaller minilocking tunerream.

The neck is absolutely stunning, fat and smooth! I'm excited to try SS frets for the first time too.

And some pics:

Olympic White w/ Bare Knuckles, that will be a beast of a classic! FFR, if you want the pics in the post, just copy and paste the code in the last box from Photobucket, the one that has

You have to surround the addresses with "IMG" tags. Clicking on the second icon over in the second row above the message composition area will insert an IMG tag pair in your message at the cursor. Putting the address to an image between the two tags will link that image in from the source when the message is displayed. Highlighting all your image links and clicking on the "centered" button in the first row, 7th over, will place your images in the center of the screen instead of off to the side.

Sounds perfect except for the cream face dots. I hate cream face dots! I always want to 'clean' them and make them white.

Good choice on the Pat Pends. I have pickups that sound a lot like the 63 veneer boards and I really like that sound.

First of all, thanks everyone! Indeed Updown, I've heard that Tonar is a bit of a legend. :laughing7:

Ezas I totally agree! When I heard ''cream dots'' I immediately thought of white/a bit yellow white dots. I can't believe how I could miss that small detail from seeing necks on the Warmoth showcase. So I am a bit disapointed about that. But luckily its just aesthetics.
