Out Of Stock

The other day I tried to order a 5 way switch from Warmoth, outta stock, bummer, a couple days later they were in.

Tonight I put together an order, and the last thing to add to the list, Planet wave auto trim tuners, all outta stock, so I backed out of that order till everything is in. the tuners would put me over the minimum required purchase, I can wait for the tuners, but I'd sure like to get my neck screws and a jack in the meantime

So if we order some stuff, say it's small stuff, and try to get our order over the minimum required dollar amount, only to be denied by an out of stock item, well thats a bummer

My point is, I just spent almost $500 bucks last week for a body, switches, and pots, I have neck screws, but not the short ones for a contour heel, my bad I guess, I hate minimum order stuff.

I thought you could still order, if it's out of stock.
Then when it's in stock your order would be completed and sent out ….. No  :dontknow:

Anyway ...
Just shorten the screws you have with a Dremel … easy !! .... I've done that before  :icon_biggrin:

I was under the impression that Warmoth does not carry the PW tuners anymore.

But maybe I misunderstood something?  :dontknow:

We are discontinuing Planet Waves tuners due to their crazy price increases, and they have no MAP policies so it's a free for all we no longer want to deal with. We are going to be replacing Planet Waves with another tuner brand that we have continual requests for, but we're still working out the details.

Oh! :hello2: It must be time to repost this! -

I have black Planet Wave tuners "left" (normal) tuners I would love to trade for some "right" REVERSE chrome Schaller locking tuners. The value of six PW's is $68, the value of six Schallers is $78. Buy me the Schallers, and I send you the PW's and $15 or maybe, the Planet Waves and a set of chrome or black Schaller straplocks?.... I actually have TEN of the fellows, so if you're building a seven string, a zither... I also have THREE Schaller bass tuners, for any five or six-string guys. Some stuff I still want/need, some not. But the PW's live....

Now you have me fantasizing about a 10-string lap steel, Stubby...

I have two ten-string pegheads w/tuners from pedal steel refurbs too, but I'm keeping them for myself till I meet the right pieces of wood.... :cool01: I was looking around a few months back and realized that except for necks & bodies, I could probably build four or six guitars outta just this.... stuff lying around, which is why I at least want to trade for stuff, instead of buying. I've though about just getting a kitchen table, string it up with 30 tuners & 12 pickups and call it "art" - might get $35,000 for it. :dontknow: Or arrested.

You know, that women lives just up the road from me.  Well, ok about 8 hours up the road from me.  But I've always wanted to pay her a visit.  I'm just afraid it would be an EXPENSIVE visit  :o

BTW - I know you can't yet announce the 'new' brand, but I'm very curious about who it will be!  I hope it's hipshot!  :headbang:

I kind of hope it's Sperzels, because we already have a Hipshot dealer on the board and if you know him, he can... oh woops. Actually, I'd be happy if some Gotoh or Schaller dealer would ever figure out how to even order all the cool Gotoh and Schaller doodads they list in their catalogs just to torment us. How can you survive without ruthenium tuners?

Re; Linda Manzer, it's probably safe to visit: at one point, she had announced that she was no longer taking orders. $30,000 down payment to get on the waiting list, and she was booked for life. However, I just now see she has a zoomy new website, she's taking orders for things like the "Pat Metheny Limited Edition Signature 6" model etc. So she must have hired a sweatshop full of "interns" to do the scut-sanding, and she's on the honorable trajectory of Bob Taylor, Paul Reed Smith and many wanabees:
luthier -> major factory owner. As you get older, working starts to be less fun and figuring out how to get other people to work for you gains in glow - it's the American Dream. Then you get the Asian-source "Manzer-licensed" model, then the WalMart "Manzer/Guitar Hero" controllers... watch this space.

(but not too carefully)

Hehe! Yeah, but... it was a $99 guitar. I've spent more time and money on more than one occasion to learn and accomplish less. Fun's where you find it <grin>
