Original Vs Schaller Floyd Rose

Hey,
Just before I pull the trigger I want to make sure I have this right. The Schaller Floyd Rose trems will fit in a Original Floyd route, just not the other way around? Also am I all right to use the wood screw mounts on a Schaller in place of studs?

It depends which Shcaller but essentially yes. Although a Schaller Lockmeister has the same dimensions as and OFR.

You should be but I would recommend studs over screws in general unless there is a good reason you cant use the studs.
