Original Schaller vs. Lockmeister

I’ve been searching the net looking for a Schaller routing diagram with measurements, but can only find the Lockmeister.
Heres the deal.
I have a Velocity on order, with the original Schaller route.
If I purchase a Lockmeister, what will I need to alter... Tell me in great detail.

The Lockmeister has the same dimensions as an OFR max 76mm. The Schaller rout is shorter max 62.5mm

In other words a Lockmeister needs an OFR rout and will not fit the Schaller rout.

Are you referring to the top recessed route? If yes, then will the shorter (33mm) lock screws solve this without routing?

Yes I am referring to the recessed rout and check the dimensions of both tremolos at the links I provided.

Perhaps shorter screws may do the job, but why not just buy the part that fits the rout than trying to retrofit and alter something that as standard would not fit?

Yeah, that’s what i will probably do. This may be my last build. I ordered a velocity with a satin finish quilt top in purple, and thought that the pearl satin Lockmeister would really go good with it. I didn’t realize it was a different route. I may end up going with nickel. They don’t offer any satin finishes in the standard Schaller.

I think Nickel would look equally good with a satin finish versus pearl satin. I would just get the part that fits.
