Also, i want to put higher gauge strings in it. Which one would handle it better?

Either one works but, go Schaller ATLEAST. I couldn't recommend an OFR enough, though.
Wana_make_a_guitar said:So a gotoh is Better than a OFR or a SFR?
If i got that i'd need to buy hat and Planet Waves locking Tuners?
Wana_make_a_guitar said:Ah, right.
But seriously now. I just got this email from a few guys i know. i could be getting exactly what i want for about 1 grand cheaper at carvin with a glue in neck. What i think i'll do now is buy that from the custom shop part of carvin ( with more knob routes) take out the electrics, or keep some and put what now i have decided that i want in a FR fitted Les paul style guitar.
So instead of building a whole guitar from Warmoth, i'll just get Some parts from there. Not trying to be a traitor or anything, i'm just trying to save money.
Wana_make_a_guitar said:Well, not exactally 1 grand about 500-600 bucks
Why isn't the sound as good?

Wana_make_a_guitar said:Well thats all good and well but i'd love to build a warmoth but waiting for the money to build one at my age sucks and i just want to buy a good sounding LP with a rosewood finger board, wenge neck, Mahogany back, flamed maple top that i can chuck a D activator bridge and a d activator x neck in.
Wana_make_a_guitar said:It'd be a bit cheaper if i got a flat top, but the sound, will it changed dramatically?
