Ordering lots of necks + body?

Me and a couple of friends have been talking about sharing shipping + import customs ordering some stuff from Warmoth...

4 necks

But I MIGHT be interested in a body too, but I'm not sure I can afford it now.

However, I have some kind of idea that ordering lots of different things will be more risky than just one or two expensive stuff for some reason...

Would all 4 necks come in the same box? I know necks and bodies comes in different boxes from experience, but I have never ordered more than 2 necks at a time.

I believe each neck and body will be shipped in each own box.

Not a good idea to order everything under one persons name. If you want to return something the one who was shipped the complete order would have to make the arrangements even if the item is not his own. Also, different custom imports has a $200 item and a $300 item. Better pay exactly what you ordered instead of sharing the cost.

Another issue is that Warmoth doesn't charge for shipping by weight/size, they charge by order amount.
Minimum order is $25.00
Order Subtotal (before shipping and taxes): Add for shipping:
$25.00 - $49.99 $7.95
$50.00 - $99.99 $10.95
$100.00 - $149.99 $12.95
$150.00 - $199.99 $14.95
$200.00 - $299.99 $16.95
$300.00 - $499.99 $18.95
$500.00 - $999.99 $20.95
$1000.00 - $1499.99 $24.50
$1500.00 - $1999.99 $29.50
$2000.00 - $2499.99 $33.50
$2500.00 - $3000.00 $42.50
Although, in review I see they do it a bit differently for international shipping, so you'd probably want to try out a few scenarios before you commit.

When I ordered a bass and guitar neck, they came in the same box.

Well... I guess I can handle a return if somebody would want to.  :toothy10:

I have already made calculations using swedish import customs calculator and I know ordering together saves lots of money :)

I've already done my research, using the shopping cart shipping cost, and then use our swedish import customs calculator to see what it will be.

See, if you order one neck, it costs about $106 (or something), but if you order TWO necks, it's $109, so it's a GREAT advantage to order two necks from US to Sweden.

And then three necks is $154, and FOUR necks is $157 something.

(I dont know if I remember exact numbers, but it's really smart to order wither 2 or 4 necks)

And the price shoots away once you add a body to the order

Oh man it's soon about to happen... 4 necks and 1 body  :toothy12:
Well, 1 neck and body for me, 3 necks for friends.

If this gets lost or destroyed in delivery I'll be devastated

So what kind of necks and what body are you guys getting? You can't tell us you're getting 4 necks and a body without telling us what they are!

Well, if everything goes according to the plan:

One guy will get a Goncalo Alves strat with reverse headstock
Another guy will have roasted maple strat with floyd shelf
And the third guy will have a almost similar roasted maple with floyd shelf but both have some slight differences in fret size and stuff.

I'll get a roasted maple with rosewood fretboard without inlays and white Strat body from the showcase.
I'm going to paint the headstock black myself once it arrives.

This is my vision  :glasses9: a plain white strat with black hardware has been my dream machine for quite some time and I can't believe I'm finally going to make it real! I've been cheaping out and getting stuff since then that hasn't been 100% but now I'm going for it.  :icon_biggrin:

I'll build partscasters for the two guys getting roasted necks (the goncalo guy will build it himself)

Here's the plan for one of them:

Reason for different hardware color is because I'll build it with some scrap stuff I have that I can either sell for cheap or let him have for free. I'll install a nice black Gotoh Floyd (from the 80s, in good shape!) for him, but I have some chrome Kramer tuners that works, but I can give them to him for free.
The chrome pickguard I will let him have too.
The only difference is that he wanna have EMGs now rather than the passives as shown in the picture.

This will be a blast... If it arrives in good condition  :icon_biggrin:  :toothy12:  :toothy12:

EDIT:
I already have this one, it's a Warmoth soloist with strat neck... But it's not quite a strat, which is why I really want to go 100% this time. But my old one is my favorite guitar and I will keep it, it will be a good compliment to have one HH and one HSS.

Too bad I'm not quite ready to order yet, or otherwise that order could have been 2 bodies and 5 necks.

Is that a regular size Strat body on the picture or a 7/8? Because the two knobs look like they are placed like they do on a 7/8.

Nice choices by the way. Very cool!

Oh yeah, you were the swedish guy right? Well yeah, it's going to happen probably this weekend I think.
It's not impossible to make another order later on ( :toothy12: ) but seriously, I still have to get a couple of current guitars to work properly, so stacking more and more builds isn't a good idea.

It's actually a Soloist body, which has been modded a lot since I first ordered it a few years ago  :glasses10:
This is how it looked originally;

Wow, quite a difference.
I like the new look with the pickguard, two humbuckers and maple neck. :icon_thumright:

Me too  :glasses9:

Some day however I will get myself a new 1-hum reverse headstock racerstrat, but that time I will do it right with alpine white (I used olympic by mistake!), the volume knob closer to the strings and also 24 frets without inlays  :icon_biggrin:
