My main amp is the Orange Rockerverb 50 & 4x12 cabinet.

This amp drips mojo. That sweet late 60's early 70's rock sound.
100% tube, 4x 6V6 , 4x ECC83,  2X ECC81

Ive played many amps in my time, but this is by far the best sounding I have ever played.
Construction was flawless. They arent cheap, but you do get what you pay for.

It's a Civic and it's a '98.

...wait you drive an '86?  Isn't that older than you are?  :tard:

Whoops, thought you had a Camry. Yeah, older than me. I'm not complaining at all, though. Free, it drives, has AC, heating, and a perfectly good cassette player. It has a Black Sabbath- Paranoid/Pink Floyd DSOTM cassette in it right now.

You can pick up a clean vintage Fender Blackface Deluxe or Super Reverb for that price or less, so what's the point?

For 70's style rock the Fenders arent even in the same league. I like Fender amps for blues, but for the style of music
that I play the Fender amps are a little weak. No offence meant by my comment, just my opinion.
Its hard to beat four, twelve inch Celestions pushing maximum air, and still holding their tone.

I'm going to make a wild ass guess here that you weren't around in the 70's, and have no clue how many of your favorite records from that era were recorded in the studio using Blackface Fender Super Reverbs, regardless of the stacks of other amps used on stage. You could start out with Jimi...

You would be wrong. I'm 46 years old. I'm very aware that im not hearing 100w stacks in old recordings. A 15w amp
will suffice in the recording studio. I have been playing for almost 33 years and have had alot of amplifiers pass through
my hands. Marshalls, Fenders, Peaveys, Mesa, Dumbles...you name it I have used it...I even have a 40 year old Leslie 122 in my basement...you wanna talk Jimi?....so to state that I have no clue....you're adorable.
Do'nt take it so personal when I do not agree with you.

That Orange is sweet.  But you let a Dumble pass through your hands? Ouch.

The Dumble was at a recording studio. It wasnt mine, but I had access to it and was allowed to take it home
for a week. This was about 15 years ago. Playing a Strat through it was amazing, but I found humbuckers to sound
a little flat. At least to my ears.
