Another example of an overpriced solution for a problem that doesn't exist...

I don't get why Gizmodo are running a story on this now? It's old.

Also it's a PC, not an amp. So, whatever problems PCs solve, this solves. And it has a nice guitar-optimised audio interface built in.

If it came in a normal tower case it wouldn't even be a story.

EDIT: the original launch press release was in 2010:

If it came in a normal tower case, it wouldn't be $1900 either.  :laughing7:

Missed that, thought this must b e something they were hawking at NAMM..

They've got the latest upgrade at NAMM this year.

It's basically a similar spec to a high-grade gaming PC, plus $700 of audio software on there already. You'd have trouble building the same thing for much less.

So, what the BLEEEP do ya DO with the thing? Twitter? Online Christian Dating Services? Pay yer bills? I don't understand...don't even know if I want to... :icon_tongue:

"This Orange amp, called the OPC, isn't like other guitar amps. Instead of being little more than a jumped-up loudspeaker," I hate to say it, but before I got into guitars, that's what I thought of amps, too.
