one handed router

does anybody know who sells these things? or even what they're called specifically.  I saw one on a youtube video once.
I just need something small enough to install some synth access hardware, and I don't really want to do it with a big full sized router.  A google search just turns up this Makita that still looks full sized to me but only has 1 handle instead of 2.. If I were to go that big I'd just want a normal 2 handed one anyway.

EDIT:
it was this video:  turns out its a 2 handed, not a 1 handed, but its nice and small.. i want one.  Does anybody else think that guy's nuts for not using some sort of template or stencil rather than just eyeballing the masking tape?

I have a dremel... what's on the router attachment? can you set the depth and everything or does it just have a router bit on the end of the dremel?

Yeah - it's like a mini router.

Funnily enough, I bought a router this weekend. I ended up buying a full size one, but I was tempted by what they called a 'palm router'. Pretty sure it was made by Bosch. I'll see if I can find the details.

My 2c worth here.

There is argument that the Stew Mac router attachment base is more solid than the Dremel attachment.

http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Tools/Special_tools_for:_Routing/Precision_Router_Bases/Precision_Router_Base.html

I have used a Dremel with the Stew Mac precison base. If you use a small router bit, carefully select the right speed of the Dremel and take it slowly instead of plunging too deeply, it doesn't kick when turned on or threaten to run off by itself!

So... you could get a way without using a template, but for your own sake, I'd suggest that's not a good idea - you could ruin an otherwise good body if you slipped.

Surprised that the vid had the repairer using a painted body but not scoring the finish with a razor or scalpel to prevent the finish being damaged. Must have had complete faith in his tools being sharp and confident enough to use the router without a template or the need for scoring.

For a body that may only be worth $200 or so, well, you might be tempted to take your chances if in a hurry, but a Cocobolo topped or flamed maple top in Tiger Stripe worth nearly $1000 you'd just wouldn't be so carefree.

Damn right! This is absolutely unacceptable work by my standards.
If that dude were routing my body, I would demand he buy me a new one.

Does anyone else think that the jack is positioned insanely high up on the side of the body?
