Ok, so, Gibson scale strat neck on a 25.5 Strat body.

I've had this old neck forever that I had on my mutt guitar for years, but I recently repaired and refinished it, building up a shelf and installing a bone nut.  I somehow missed that it wasn't 25.5" scale (it's a 24 fret 24.75).  Obviously, trems won't work.  I do have a Schaller roller bridge, but I'd have to cut the strat pickguard nearly to the pickup.  This, unfortunately, also exposes a *tiny* bit of the trem hole.  Any ideas or experience with this?
