I just got a message from UPS Quantum View. I think everyone here knows what that message is. WOOOOHOOOO!! My stuff is scheduled for delivery on the 4th of December. Man, I'm not allowed to talk dirty on here so I think I'll use my fluency in Japanese to get past the censors.

WOOOOHOOOO!!!!!! If it gets here by the weekend I'll be a happy camper A) because my guitar is here and B) it will give me something to do this weekend.

Oh my God!! I haven't ordered pickups yet YAAAAGGHHHHHH!!!!!! Time to get moving.

Well, I live in Japan and with the dollar so weak I save a lot of coin shopping online from America. Sure is gonna make Christmas a lot easier.

Yeah, you know, I'm not really sure if necks with that kind of grain are looked upon as really nice or as a defect. Personally, I like them with personality like that but I think a lot of ebony "purists" probably frown upon it. I really don't know though. Either way, I think it's pretty bold. Now I gotta order some pups. Looks like I'm going with the Van Zandt.....if I can find an online dealer that is.

I have no idea. All I know is that mine was first. Kind of surprised me when I logged on after my last lesson and saw that other one. I thought it was this one, opened it up and only saw 2 replies. I thought my "election" comment got erased. hehe!!

Tracking page said it departed Seattle on Dec. 1st at 8:18pm. That means it's in the air to Japan as I type. Oooooh, I'm getting excited.

Well, it's been turmoil in my head the past couple of days thinking about pickups. Every single guitar that I've ever owned has had a humbucker in it. Even my Fender Strats. As soon as I took possession those single coils in the bridge came out and in went a humbucker. With that thought in mind I decided I wanted at least 1 guitar with single coils. I think as I get older blues is appealing more to me than hard rock/metal. I think my days of playing Metallica, Godsmack etc... are coming to an end and the era of the blues is coming in.

Anyway, I still have 4 other guitars with humbuckers so one single coiled beast isn't going to hurt, plus I can switch it out if I get bored with it. So, earlier this week I narrowed it down between VooDoo and Van Zandt. After watching many many videos on youtube and reading up on the various choices I came down to Van Zandt. Only problem now is that I'm stuck between the "Blues" set or the "Rock" set. Not sure what to do there yet but I gotta decide soon. I'll probably go with the "Rock" series since I like high output.
