New Used guitar day. A replacement for my current acoustic 12 string.

Well it plays and sounds great, but as I knew before I agreed: the previous owner removed the electronic.  What I found was he cut the transducer wire about 1/8 below the bridge plate.  I was able to get 50 off for that (tried for more).  Now I pondering trying to solder
Those 2 tiny wires or just get a replacement system for 50.

Nice score on that Guild 12'er. I have always liked the sound of the Jumbo Guild; full but jangley.

As an aside, I never understood people that do things like cut wires off too short. They know (or I at least think they know) they just made that part unusable for the next guy. Why?  :dontknow:

Not to mention they could have simply unplugged it from the preamp.  No unsoldering needed.

Got the replacement pup system (for cost) from Guild and installed.  Haven’t tested it yet.  Got sidetracked with a 4 hr jam on it with a friend.  Yep, it plays and sounds good.

Previous owner did you half of a favor. Rip out the UST and stick a JJB-330 or a K&K Pure Mini in there instead. Any bridge plate transducer sounds vastly better than under saddle transducers.
