Non angled Strat bridge pup route

Greetings,

I think I have a problem.  I have a Velocity body en route (should be here tomorrow) and I'm already thinking of an additional build....

Anyway.........

Is it possible to have a non angled bridge Strat pup done on a body or a pickguard with a universal route?  Would be curious to hear the tonal differences vs the standard or reverse angle route.

Of course it fits in the universal route. I don't know how to go about getting a pickguard cut out for it.

There are pickup adapter rings that are intended for a humbucker route.  I bought some from Guitar Fetish which I never used. 
Note the screw holes are spaced at 83mm, which is wider than most US made adapter rings.
