I ordered a basswood body with maple top and spoke to a representative via. email to get a solid body paint and to request it after it has been ordered.

Also want to make some changes to the neck i.e. reverse headstock - I sent them an email 2 day ago and I am just wondering how long it takes to get a reply? I know I have to pay extra to get the solid body paint and want to get the ball rolling..

thanks for your help guys  :headbang1:

This was a holiday weekend; it's not likely they were even on the job Friday. They don't work weekends, at least as far as the public is concerned. So, give 'em a chance.

You can always call, too. They're usually pretty short calls.

Check Google for Public Holidays in USA & see if there's a Public Holiday for Monday in Washington State. If they are open Monday, give them a call. From what you have posted, I take it you have already placed the order, so changing things within the order/s will require a phone call and some more personal contact than just a email.

Get the person's name you speak to, once they've taken down the changes & confirmed it can be done...

Thanks for your replies guys, sorry. I'm from Australia and not aware of USA holidays - also just a little anxious as this is my first build. It's going to be very difficult and expensive for me to call them from Australia, are you sure it's not something that can be done just via. email?  :dontknow:

There's no computer-driven phone menu system where you have to pick languages, departments, reasons for calling, etc., or a receptionist or anything like that to waste your time. The sales people pick up the phone directly, so you're in business the second the call starts. Make sure you have your order number handy, and I'll bet you don't even spend a whole minute on the phone. Those guys know what they're doing. I know it's expensive to call here from there, but for such a short call it shouldn't be too painful.

You shouldn't have any problems talking to them via emails.
All my builds where done that way, from custom builds to showcase stuff and have never spoken to anyone there.
I'm in Oz too.  :icon_biggrin:

Just reply your changes via your 1st order email.
And all should be good.
You just have to acknowledge the extra costs in your changes, if you know what the costs are.
If not they will tell you.

Just wait and you will get it all sorted.  :icon_thumright:

Yes, Friday was "Independence Day", which is sort of a big deal here. Everybody takes the day off to have parades, get drunk, cook outdoors, and blow things up.

Isn't that like a working day in Oz?  :icon_jokercolor:

No. We have our equivalent of the Tea Party in Federal Govt at the moment and we are constantly being told we are to end the era of entitlement that we seemingly have take for granted.
Those saying that aren't exactly setting the great example by being seen smoking expensive cigars on the eve of handing down one of the most 'cutting' Budgets we've had in recent times, been up to their neck in all sorts of mischief with asylum seekers, getting their daughter into posh Fashion Colleges on 'scholarships', been an embarrassment to  us on the world stage by "umming & aaahing" their way through Press Conferences, calling Canada "Canadia", INCREASING a school chaplains program that is fundamentally illegal under our Constitution while cutting disabilities services, and refusing to water down their own VERY GENEROUS pension schemes (which taxpayers pay for) when they get booted out of Parliament or retire.

'Canadia'???  Give me their address and I will personally fly there and kick them in the nuts.

Easy to find mate.
Mr. T Abbott
"The Lodge"
Canberra, ACT, Australia

Get to Canberra Airport and ask any cabbie. They should know how to get there. If Abbott isn't there he will probably be at Parliament House, Capitol Hill, Canberra...

Judging by the idiot's popularity (around 37% at this time), I suggest when you finally find him, that you will asked to take a number and join the cue....

I'm curious why you would order a laminate top on a body with a solid finish. You won't see it, so why pay extra for it?  :dontknow:
