I need rattle can nitro and im not sure which brand is a good one any advice?
Do you guys usually use rattle can or wipe it on?

I like Deft for semi gloss or satin
I like Cabot for full glossy

The two are compatible.

Cabot seems to dry out faster than the Deft glossy.  A plus, so thats why I like it better.  Deft takes long to get "sanding" dry.  However, the Deft semi-gloss will dry very fast, and it buffs to a sort of "vintage gloss", not super mirror, but shiny in a dull way.  Hard to explain, but... it is shiny, you can see sharp reflections in it, but it doesn't quite get to that full mirror gloss.

The re-Ranch stuff is supposed to be good.  The StewMac stuff... has some problem reports.

The key with any lacquer is adequate drying between coats and before sanding - controlling thickness of the coats to ensure proper drying.  That is - if you heap up the coverage, and make it really thick, it will take a long long time to dry to a point where sanding will create "dust" rather than pill up like an old sweat sock.

i have used both deft and stewmac with great success.  Deft is nice because it is available at Home depot.  It is not supposed to crackle or yellow like other nitro does...I will let you know in 15-20 years.

Deft is good stuff and available off the shelf at Lowe's.  I use it for everything but the last few coats.  I switch to the ReRanch clear for those.  It dries nicely, and produces a very nice gloss.

Is the Cabot high gloss available in a can like deft?
I am going for the mirror shine effect.

I have used Deft, Dupli-Color, Re-Ranch and one other I forget the name.

My least Favorite was Re-Ranch.  Dupli color was my favorite, it goes on thin , dries fast and buffs out real well after sanding
