I didn't see an introductions section anywhere, so I'm introducing myself here. Hello! My name is Ben and I'm a regular on the gear page. I would imagine that's the case for others too, but I only discovered this forum after I recently ordered my build and I figured this would be the place to talk in depth about assembly and set up and getting ideas for future builds. Plus, I've already been wanting to check out other forums. Anyway, looking forward to chatting with all of you in the future. :-)

Welcome Jecht.

Welcome Jecht, peruse, ponder and participate freely. As was said we like to help if needed, and we love build logs.  :headbang: :headbang:

Welcome to the forum...what did you end up ordering for your build?

Thank you! I went with a swamp ash strat body in surf green with the rear rout option and a modern strat neck made from roasted flame maple. The body is routed for dual humbuckers and the fender american standard hard tail bridge. The neck has the 12-16" compound radius with stainless steel frets and the standard thin profile. I've ordered most of my hardware from Warmoth and a few additional pieces from stew mac.

The guitar is heavily based on a Charvel San Dimas and Friedman's Cali series with a single volume control, no tone, and 3 way toggle switch. I've a opted for a motor city pickups 2nd degree black belt in the bridge and a seymour duncan alnico II pro in the neck. Everything else is pretty standard: switchcraft jack and toggle switch, CTS 500k pot, and Gotoh locking tuners.

I live in Columbus, OH and I'm taking the guitar to Bill Foley for assembly. He wrote the book Build Your Own Guitar which Warmoth has sold on their website. Anyway, that's probably way more info than neccessary, but I'm just REALLY excited about the guitar.  :headbang: :headbang:

Me too! I'm estimating completion somewhere around late September or early October. In addition to the warmoth parts, I'm still waiting on the pickup to be wound from motor city because I believe they're made to order.
