New guitar day, but its not a Warmoth. Godin Flat Five X. Took it to practice tonight and it was wonderful. The L5 build is indefinitely delayed :)

Possibly a stupid question, but what are the four slits above the "Godin," for?

Not stupid at all. It is a dual voice guitar. So magnetic pickups and piezos in the bridge. Two jacks. One can use it with 1 or both jacks.
Those slits are for the active EQs (treb. mid, bass) and Vol on the piezos.
One knob handles master vol, the other master tone.
If using one jack, the middle knob controls balance between the magnetics andthe piezos. If using 2 jacks, that knob provides an additional piezo volume control.
The 5 way selects neck humbucker, neck single coil, both humbuckers, bridge singlecoil, bridge humbucker.

That is one knob, two pickups and a half-dozen switches more than I'd have any idea what to do with.

But, the guitar is sexy, so its okay.

For what it's capable of doing, that's actually a comfortable and non-confusing layout to me.  Godin's are nice.  I had an A-6 acoustic and just sold it.  Trying to wean down my collection.

Godin was featured on "How it's Made" was actually a pretty cool episode and can prob be found on youtube.
