New Warmoth Memeber New Warmoth Body

Not sure if the W is saying they will finish ONLY the headstock there.  If they won’t, Tonar here on the board can (I know becaused I asked him)
IE: Jazzmaster build to be completed circa 2029 at my current rate LOL

The key phrase here is:

Once you’ve chosen an unfinished item we can then add the peg face color along with the finish of your choice.

That is peg face color and a neck finish. But the starting point is an unfinished neck that is then ordered to be finished along with a peghead color. Probably the finishing process that requires starting with a clean slate as it were.

I normally order unfinished necks and do them with tru-oil but I just received one that I ordered with a peghead color in gloss and the rest in clear satin. The clear satin is so smooth and so forth at first it almost looked like it had no finish. So I can recommend that option.

I'm gong to put an order in soon and see if I can order a satin finish and a white headstock, OR just order no finish and just the painted headstock. Either way its a win for me. I will keep posting as info becomes available.

Just an update, my neck should be here in the next few weeks. Ordered in April (23 to be exact) I CAN'T WAIT!! LOL jonesing bad!!!

Cool. How was it finished in the end?

Quartersawn maple, ebony fretboard unique choice, slim taper, 6150 frets, 21 frets, mother of pearl dots and side dots, graphite rods and clear satin nitro finish, with a white headstock. Originally I was just going to have the headstock painted with no finish anywhere else but I had tried a jazz bass with a satin finish and really liked it. I figured if I wanted to I can always take steel wool to it later on if I want to.
All I need now is a custom engraved neck plate and decal for the headstock.
I put copper shielding in the body routs already. The wait is killing me now, SO CLOSE!!!

I've got a couple necks with the satin finish.  You won't need your steel wool!  Pics, man.  We want pics.  :turtle:

What do you have in mind for a neck plate?  Talk with our own DangerousR6 about that.  See his work here: http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=2754.3255  This is an unabashed plug for him, he does really nice work.

Cool thank you I couldn't remember the name as I have seen his work on this site before. I am thinking of the Polish Resistance symbol from WW2

I do want to thank all those who heleped me out and got me going in the right direction. You guys ROCK!

Very nice!
It manages to combine a both classy and a modern look at the same time. The matching headstock makes all the difference.
Superb!
