New video: Ten Things Leo Got Wrong

Nah ... you're right ... what about that Jazzmaster bridge? I think my next build I'll be using a bigsby.

Just one tiny little thing I disagreed with:

On Vintage Tele Bodys and as long as the fretboard doesn't overhang the pickguard, wood-mounting the neck pickup solves Nr. 2!

Because then you can simply take off the pickguard to adjust the trussrod.

I agree with everything else, though. :)

Wow....like any rational person, I never have a beef with people's opinions that run contrary to mine. But some of those comments on YouTube today have been simply awful. Really viscous ad hominems aimed at me. I had to delete a few.

I just can't understand how people can allow themselves to become so spiteful over things that matter so little.

The internet is truly a strange place.

I never understood the thumb rest either. Also, I swear, when I have had a 3 way switch installed in a strat, I felt you could get the in between sounds like a five way, but could barely cheat it a smidge to slightly favor one pickup or the other. Like one would get more voltage or something.

Having spent the 1st 55 years only affiliated with gibson type guitars, I found the information informative.

I think that’s psychosomatic Spud. You would be able to do this with a 5 way if true but there’s not enough resistance across the switch lugs for that to occur.

I thought all of your points were good and valid except for the Strat volume knob (for me). I know some people tend to hit it when strumming, but that's never been an issue for me, but I like the close proximity for quick volume changes.

HOWEVER! I could not agree more about the Tele volume knob. It is insanely annoying and it was something I never realized until I got a rear routed Warmoth Tele.

Any chance we could unite in our hatred to get an option to move that hole for a rear routed body? If I were to order it again, I'd drill my own hole... or get the top rout which is what I have on order now and one of those fancy Tele control plates that has the angled switch.

I think it can be done with a 5 way too. It's not untrue.............if you believe it.
