New video: Ten Things Leo Got Wrong

And just for you Spud, here's the song that Jeff actually said after recording it: I don't know if I could actually play it live.

The thing is he is playing a signature guitar made to his specs on that one. I'm fairly confident that if there were such a place where I could order strat style parts to build whatever I wanted, I could play that too

No reason you can't build one. You won't find that nut, but hell the LSR is close.
That Tele in the first video was originally an Esquire and converted. Nothing CS there.

And I have played some Sig Jeff Strats. Really not much more than an American Std (or whatever they chose to call it this month) with that roller nut.

I was trying to be humorous.........................we are on the parts capitol Warmoth board! I will never be able to play like that.

My first Warmoth build, in 2023, was a Tele and I went with the swapped control plate from the get-go. I also did the traditional brass 3-barrel bridge, but with Callaham intonated barrels to solve the intonation issue, and they work perfectly. That said, it should have been fixed on the original.

For the HSS Strat I’ll be building in the next several months, I’m planning on master volume and master tone only, which I love on my HSS Suhr, but I never notice an issue with the volume knob on my 2014 Fender AmDlx Strat. That guitar also has a fabulous contoured neck attach area that I wish Warmoth would offer; it’s the most comfortable upper fret access I’ve run across so far. And the best rolled fretboard edges. Actually, it’s almost a perfect guitar for me, except that it doesn’t have SS frets, and SS frets are non-negotiable for me after I acquired my Suhr several years ago. I don’t understand why Fender doesn’t have them, at least as an option, on all of their built in America guitars.

Exhibit 2 in your honor. Gilmour is so associated with the Strat, but one of my favorite solos from him is on a Tele:

Spud put Hag back on the Christmas list and take me off.
He posted this, and it’s one of my fav solos.
Don’t look to the original on Atom Heart Mother; it was anemic and lame with Roger.
It got this Blu-ray/Cd set the year it came out. Played the CD as I was taking a drive Christmas Day (licking my wounds as I had lost my job).
This came on and it was WHOA: there’s no Strat in the world that sounds like that.
It has to be a Tele. I went and watched the video, sure enough.
Except it was not originally a Tele. Another Esquire convert.

Aaron, I’ll never be able to not see the volume crammed next to the Tele switch ever again.

I wonder how this would be?
