An extra tip to save a bit of scratch is use copper "slug tape" it is the same thing but much cheaper because its not being sold to guitarists 
I specifically have had good luck with this one
I didnt think about buying a few sheets for doing the bottoms of cavities in one shot that sure looks handy. I will have to pick some up.

Aaron's not kidding about that stuff being sharp. I put together a soloist over the weekend, my 8th build, so I'm not a total beginner, and even after watching the video and being careful I still managed to cut myself.
Fortunately the cut is on my fretting hand index finger, don't use that one much when playing guitar.
