New unfinished neck question...

Hey peeps...newbie here.  I ordered a new neck from Warmoth unfinished.  On the site it says it has an oil based penetrating sealer applied...so does that mean I don't have to put any sanding sealer on this?  I have been reading everything on Reranch...so I just want to make sure I don't screw it up right out of the gate.  I want to apply their amber neck finish than hit it with a bunch of coats of clear...but I assumed I'd have to apply a couple coats of sanding sealer first (before doing the amber).

Thanks in advance,
Ed

Assuming it is a maple neck, that's all you need to do....

Get a large nail... and grind or file a small crescent in the edge of its head.  Use that makeshift tool to scrape every other layer of clear off yer frets as you finish it.

Sounds crude but thats EXACTLY how Leo set up the Fender factory to do it, and how it was done for 30 years or so.
