I'm not sure how you guys do it....but most of you take amazing photos of your guitars, so I must apologize for the quality of these pics. I have a decent camera too, so I can't even use that as an excuse!!
Anyways...here they are.
1) I rebuilt my #1 strat (swamp ash / DiMarzio Area '58 / '58 / '61 pickup combo) with a gorgeous padouk neck, and rewired the pickguard to a "1 volume / 1 tone" setup as the volume pot closest to the bridge pickup was always getting in my way. This way, there is actually a wider range of tones available across the 5 positions.

2) I paired the canary / kingwood neck from the original #1 with a really nice flamed Black Korina body, then added Rio Grande "Texas / BBQ" pickups to the neck and bridge. The hardtail bridge is made by Hipshot and is chrome-plated brass (super heavy). I'm really diggin the sound of this one!! Best sounding guitar I have ever played, or heard for that matter. I was worried they would be too distorted, but they are just hot enough without going over the top. The neck pickup (Texas) gives you a little bit of breakup and tons of low end. So far I have played it through a Seymour Duncan Twin Tube pedal and Fender Hot Rod Deluxe amp. I think the combination of the Black Korina body and the Texas BBQ pickups gets you right in the "sweet spot". Highly recommended.
