A little unimpressed, especially with the increasingly lewd sexualization of her lyrics.

also, I bought tickets to see her in ATL on March 8th! it will be my final concert as a civilian! totally excited to see her again! this will make it #5.

The pre-sale tickets for LA were gone by the time I tried to get one (like 20 mins after they went on sale). But I'm still going.  I'll just have to wait until they're on regular sale.

It's obviously up to her, but it seems like a lot of female artists have bought into oversexualization recently. I just feel like this could be the first step towards loads of naughty lyrics and racey music videos... Then again, Lana Del Rey takes up half of my listening recently, so I'm one to talk.

There are a lot of male artists that are extremely lewd and sexual too.  Don't forget that. 

I don't think she's necessarily using sexual terminology to be sexy or naughty.  I can't be sure exactly what she is talking about, but it sounds like she is trying to make a point using sexual imagery rather than to be titillating.  I could say that someone is "stroking it" in a song when I mean that they're preaching to the choir or pumping up their ego, and I'm just using a sexual term metaphorically... or I could just literally be talking about someone stroking it because I think that being lewd will sell more records.  One has more merit than the other, in my opinion. That could all be in my mind, but that's what I take away from this single.

sorry for the long delay. honestly, I think it's insane that we hold women up to some sort of BS higher standard than our male artists. I'm pretty sure they're allowed to do what they want. just don't you even dare make the mistake of saying Annie is using the gimmick of using her body to sell records because she doesn't have the talent. those will be internet fighting words. she's pretty damn well allowed to do whatever she wants to, and she's proven that she isn't lacking in raw songwriting and technical ability to rely on sexualizing her music to get records sold.
