New Soloist Builder?!

IMO (and I'm a pretty hard-core blues guy, so very vintage look oriented) . . . the carved top soloist is the best looking body offered by Warmoth. There's nothing like the look of a strat, of course, but the carved top soloist is simply gorgeous. The only way it might look more amazing is if they offered it with actual binding. But then again, the price on one like that would be insane, not to mention the epicosity would melt your face off.

If you're after a soloist with actual binding, you may have to go to Jackson's custom shop.  You can make a safe bet you'll pay out the nose for it, too.

My next guitar is either going to be a Jackson Warrior or a Jackson Star (CS-only), and the price at the Warrior started at $4100.  Spec'd the way I'd want mine, it would list at over $5000.  From what I understand, most people wind up paying about 60% of the list on the CS models.

Yes. But oh, so satisfying <grin>

Not if you ask my first wife.

Oh, sorry - wrong kind of expensive experience.  And far less sexy.

EDIT:  The guitar is much more sexy, I mean.  The ex - well, we're no longer an item for a number of good reasons, is all I'm sayin.

I don't think I'll get married again. I'll just find a woman I don't like and give her a house.

That's a gimp finish - it's Warmoth clear plus some level shifting to darken it a smidge.  The builder transparent brown is awful opaque and dark for my taste, but Mahog looks good just a hair darker than clear.
