One of these days, i'll come over there and drool next to your collection of LP's . :icon_biggrin:

you're absolutely welcome :)

I just noticed something I do NOT like. no inlay on the first fret! buggs me a lot. Somewhere along the line of confirming, reconfirming, reconfirming the reconfirmed, that particular question got lost. damnit. well, I got for 'free' a singlepiece top and for free a 720 mod. I do feel that the macassar ebony isn't as stripey as it is on my other, but ey, its cool and great, cause it's not so variegated, and that makes it more pleasant to look at. on the Koa, with the HUGE mac. stripes, it matches great, cause that guitar has major striping all over the place, but this body is much more subtle.

pics are here, by the way!

I wouldn't stress over that fret inlay. If you look at it, there are two "slabs" of finger board before the first inlay and two "slabs" of finger board after the last inlay. So the inlays and neck look balanced the way it is now. :icon_thumright: If it were a 24 fret neck, then maybe it would be worth it.

If I remember correctly, the 720 cut is standard on the carve top guitars.

Why not a gold neck plate to match the other hardware?

the gold neckplate would just be TOO much. all now is kinda balanced in looks and colour and I know that gold would fit the rest of the color scheme, but its just too 'whorey' for me...

I think that have a gold neckplate is better than a black or a chrome plate on this build. It's better to match.

Why does it seem like the pickups are reallly deep in that cavity, and they dont have any sort of screw coming out of the top of the cover? What are they?

I have to admit, Orpheo, that I really didn't like the description of the build, but it looks killer.  Agree with Doug that the oil finish really sets off the woods.

I have to agreee with the Doctor... much better than I expected. I was a bit unsure about the purpleheart, but it looks great!

I don't think it's wired yet.. also I think the pickups are temporary and GFS (if I read correctly on another forum  :icon_biggrin:)

their just covers  :laughing7: nothing more, nothing less. I'll install the rest tomorrow, or monday, I dont know yet :)

Some things, you just never expect to hear...

its ofcourse always guitar-dependant. on some, it works great, on others, it doesnt. that guitar needs gold shite all over the place. with this one, it just doesnt match.

see it like this: you WANT to see your girlfriend in bikini, but do you want to see your grandmother in bikini? it just doesnt match, doesnt work.

I just strung the guitar up, and played it. man, its sounds like God who cut of his cahones, and dropped them on earth! Fullfat, agressive, LOTS of punch, fat, clear, whatever I want, it just WORKS! its So a les paul boys. and its 'just' 4.9 kilo's. the neck is so comfy, a friend of mine compared with uhm... how do you english-speakin dudes describe it...?  its like 'holding your own'...

Damn, I envy you guys who can get builds done in like a week, haha. Im sure its just cause im a poor teenager but dang. Ill be the first to say it.

PICS OR IT DOESNT EXIST (we know it does though, so I guess that cant really apply, but still :laughing7:)

Taking my time, I could do a full assembly and setup in an 8 hour day.  That being said, I've had all of the parts for my Tele for over a month, and it isn't finished yet.

Would you like me to send directions with pictures included?  :icon_jokercolor: :toothy12: :icon_jokercolor:

Nah, it's actually all wired up and strings are attached.  Mine was a little more complicated than two pickups, 1 vol., and toggle switch.  I'm in the process of filing the nut.  I want to take full advantage of the compound radius neck.  Warmoth promised me low action and 2.5 step bends.

I also took my time; I had to! my girlfriend was here for the weekend, so I couldn't really get some work done :P
