I like the body with the black pickguard. The goncalo with plain headstock fits well, although I don't think the upside down looks that good. Still, its not my guitar, and the mockup still looks stunning. Have you settled on pickups?

Thanks, not sure I'm 100% on the upside down headstock, but I kinda like it.  Might look better with it right side up, would probably look better on a soloist upside down. Thinking about Texas Specials, Rio Grande Dirty harry's or maybe some customs from Ken(Roadhouse)...

I vote against the Soloist upside down. I'd suggest, in order of personal preference: Regular strat headstock, warmoth headstock, or upside down strat headstock.

In my opinion, it would look the best with a regular strat headstock. Wenge/Wenge would be sick, but I REALLY like that goncalos appearance.

I think the Soloist upside down headstock is too out of place on  a strat body, even a totally rad aluminum one. Customs from Ken sound good. I never ever liked the Texas Specials, if you're referring to the Fender pickups. I'm thinking Ken will supply my Telecaster pickups, though.

All in all, it's not my guitar, and whatever makes you happy is the best decision. It's gonna be sweet.

I am a fan of Ken's work.  I like the upside down headstock, but I'd get a warhead if I did that.  The strat one always looks out of place upside down to me.  Dunno, one of my hangups.

I was trippin' the first time I ordered a neck with no face dots. Thought it might really be a problem.
It's amazing how quickly the brain tunes into the side dots.
Can't wait to see how this metal babe turns out.  Excellent build!!!
