New pedal from a new company ...

It seems that one of the engineers from Darkglass Electronics struck out on his own to create Pike Amplification.  Thier products are being distributed through 3Leaf Audio.
The design of this pedal seems to be a hybrid of the Darkglass B3K and Vintage Microtubes, although apparently the overdrive circuit is quite different from either one.

In any case, I won't have a chance to play with it until the weekend, but the YouTube demos sound promising!

Nice looking pedal and an even better name! As somebody who is in a geek rock band that has several Star Trek songs and has played numerous Star Trek conventions, I just had to point that out. I will keep an eye out for your YouTube video.

After having played several gigs with this pedal, I have to say that I'm more than happy with it.  Right now I have it set for a subtle "bark", barely overdriven sound, which gives a really nice richness for not-so-heavy-but-still-rock songs that we do.

If you really want to "geek out" with pedals, here's a limited edition Tortuga Phaser that would make Scotty proud! (Not mine ... stock image from the net.)
