New Neck Build: Nut Width

Hi Guys,

I have a question with regards to neck width on Warmoth Custom Build website. Say if I choose a neck width of 1 5/8". Does it mean that the rest of the neck would be proportionally narrower than a neck width of 1 11/16" while the string spacing would remain the same providing we're using the same nut slots?

Both necks taper to the same heel dimension.

If the nuts were slotted the same you would have less width between the E strings and the edge of the board with the narrower width at the neck. Obviously if the string spacing at the nut was adjusted accordingly that would not apply.
